FISH Food Pantry Eligibility

Every person in Douglas County who is participating in the Food Stamp Program, TANF, SSI, LIEAP, or State General Assistance or has an income equal to or below the guideline listed in the table is eligible to receive food at no cost from the FISH Food Pantry.

Beyond the income eligibility the FISH Food Pantry makes an effort to be fair to all families in Douglas County and evenly distribute the food resources that we have available by operating with the following rule:

Emergency Food Service

Emergency food service is the major focus of our efforts of FISH. The FISH Food Pantry is one of the first food banks in Oregon designed to allow low-income families to choose the groceries most appropriate for their family. The Pantry is open for direct client services 4 days per week and serves any Douglas County residents.

If you need to pick up food for someone who is unable to get to the Pantry you must bring a signed Authorization Form. Please download and print the Authorization Form below and have them fill it out and sign it. You must bring the signed form with you to pick up food for them.

Emergency Short Term Shelter and Transportation Assistance

The demand for these services far exceeds what FISH is able to provide and therefore are only available as funds permit. An around-the-clock answering service evaluates and arranges these services.
